A meeting of the working group on the revision of state standards in the specialty "Nursing" was held

In Bishkek, based on the Order of the Association of Medical Colleges of Kyrgyzstan (AMCK) No. 18/25 dated November 21, 2025, a meeting of the Working Group was held to conclude the Pilot Experimental Nursing Program and integrate its successful results into the current Basic Nursing Curriculum.

The main objective of the meeting was to align the updated Nursing Educational Program with the State Standard developed in accordance with Resolution No. 371 of the Cabinet of Ministers, and to merge the strongest components of both the pilot and traditional curricula.

Participants included:

•  representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic;
•  employers and clinical mentors;
•  representatives of professional associations;
•  faculty members of Bachelor's and VSO nursing programs at Osh State University;
•  representatives of all medical colleges of the country (via Zoom).

Key strengths highlighted:

•  a unique practice-oriented training model;
•  integration into the international educational space;
•  establishment of the clinical mentorship institute;
•  combining strong elements of both traditional and innovative programs;
•  preparation of highly qualified specialists competitive in the Eurasian region.

At the end of the meeting, AMCK awarded certificates titled “Expert of the Nursing Educational Program” to experts who actively contributed to the Working Group.
